FixLetter is a small website that helps you write letters. We collect as little as we can. This page explains what happens to your information.
Letters are put together in your own browser. The names, addresses, and details you type into the letter form are not sent to our servers. To restore your letter after checkout and remember what you've unlocked, the site saves your form details and unlock status in your browser's local storage on your device. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
If you choose "Personalize with AI," the letter text and the extra details you type are sent to our server function and passed to xAI's API to write the personalized version. We don't save that text after the response is returned. xAI processes it under its own privacy policy. Don't include information you don't want processed this way, such as full account numbers or Social Security numbers.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares limited details with us, such as your email address, what you bought, and the amount, so we can provide receipts and support. See Stripe's privacy policy.
The site is hosted on Netlify, which may record standard technical information such as IP addresses and browser type to run and secure the service. Our AI function uses your IP address briefly in memory to limit abuse.
We may use Google Analytics to see, in aggregate, which pages people visit and how they find us. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technology. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or your browser's privacy settings.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Questions or requests about your information: hello@getfixletter.com.
